- February 25 - Canada Reads selects Rockbound by Frank Parker Day as the novel to be read across the nation.
- Ian Fleming Publications launches two new series of novels based upon its James Bond franchise. The Young Bond series, focusing on the character as a teenager, begins with SilverFin by Charlie Higson, while Samantha Weinberg (writing as Kate Westbrook), launches The Moneypenny Diaries with the first novel, The Moneypenny Diaries: Guardian Angel focusing on the longtime supporting character Miss Moneypenny.
