[edit] Double redirects
Hello, and also a warm welcome from me. Thank you for your efforts in improving our maths articles. The reason that I'm writing to you is to explain that double redirects do not work. For instance, you created a redirect from overestimate to estimate, and estimate is a redirect to estimation. In that situation, a link to overestimate will not follow both redirects and point to estimation. Instead, you should make overestimate a redirect to estimation. I fixed that now for you, but this is one of the (many many) things to keep into mind when working here.
I hope to see more contributions by you! Best wishes, Jitse Niesen (talk) 06:30, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
- My appologies for the mistake, thank you for explaining this. I'll keep it in mind. 48v 06:41, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Propose deletion of Order (algebra)
I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Order (algebra), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Importance). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree, discuss the issues raised at Talk:Order (algebra). If you remove the {{dated prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. grubber 20:29, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting me know, I replied in the talk page, I think your point is reasonable. 48v 20:40, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Torrent project

- Metrics on our project performance are pretty hard to come up with, but I have taken a run at it. If your BitTorrent client keep tracks of file-specific accumulated upload, please tell it here. -- Paleorthid 16:18, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for your offer of a server to munge the picture dumps. I am following up on Sj's offer first, as those machines have the dumps, I may get back to you. BTW - you realise how big these things are, right? Probably 100Gig for pictures, another 100G space needed to unpack, fiddle.. Wizzy…☎ 08:33, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
- If I shuffle around a few disks, I will probably be able to get that much space. I didn't realize it was quite that much, but I think it's still possible. anyway, I'll investigate more if the other dosen't pan out. 48v 00:15, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
