Albert Street (Regina)

Albert Street is one of the main north-south streets in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada.
Albert Street begins at the overpass of Ring Road in north Regina, where traffic coming off the merger of Highway number 11 and Highway number 6 join. It ends at the overpass of Ring Road in south Regina where it continues as Highway number 6.
In the north end, Albert Street is lined by shopping malls, restaurants and car dealerships. As it approaches downtown, it becomes lined more with government and corporate offices, crosses the Albert Memorial Bridge, passes the Saskatchewan Legislative Building becoming more residential with heritage homes. As it approaches the south end, is regains the shopping malls, restaurants and grocery stores. Though each end of the street is not officially named as north or south, they are affectionately known as "North Albert" and "South Albert".
Named in honour of Prince Albert, the consort of Queen Victoria, Albert Street crosses Victoria Avenue (named in honour of Queen Victoria) in the downtown area.
