[edit] Welcome to the Wikipedia!
Hello, and Welcome to the Wikipedia, AlbertW! Thanks for weighing in over on the Userbox debates deletion review. Hope you enjoy editing here and becoming a Wikipedian! Here are a few perfunctory tips to hasten your acculturation into the Wikipedia experience:
- Take a look at the Wikipedia Tutorial and Manual of Style.
- When you have time, you can peruse The five pillars of Wikipedia, and assume good faith, but keep in mind the unique style you brought to the Wiki!
- Always keep the notion of NPOV in mind, be respectful of others' POV, and remember your perspective on the meaning of neutrality is invaluable!
- If you need any help, post your question at the Help Desk.
- Explore, be bold in editing, and, above all else, have fun!
And some odds and ends: Boilerplate text, Brilliant prose, Cite your sources, Civility, Conflict resolution, How to edit a page, How to write a great article, Pages needing attention, Peer review, Policy Library, Utilities, Verifiability, Village pump, Wikiquette, and you can sign your name on any page by typing 4 tildes: ~~~~.
Best of luck, AlbertW, and most importantly, have fun! Ombudsman 19:50, 19 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Licence information
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Ermysteds.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Ermysteds.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you. 213.187.39.186 14:14, 28 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Labor vs Labour
- Hi AlbertW. I see you have been changing labor to labour in a lot of articles. I know it is seems messy to have two different forms in use, but this change shouldn't be made in the cases that you are making it. There is no rule favouring international English as your edit summaries imply. See "National Varieties of English" at the Manual of Style. It would be a good idea to undo these changes before the Americans start waking up... Mattley (Chattley) 21:54, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
- Also, please use the move tab to move pages. Don't just cut and paste. You did the moves correctly later on, but some of your earlier ones were cut and pasted.--Bkwillwm 22:27, 22 March 2006 (UTC)

Needle Nardle Noo... --JB82 22:09, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
I'm considering paying for a Wiki site if The Goon Show suddenly disappeared. My user page will be updated as everything develops should you be interested. --Proteus71 18:09, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your edit to Goon Show Archiving
I hereby award you the Goon Show Barnstar, for dedication to Goon Show madness (and restructuring the relavant pages).
May all your troubles be Goonish ones.

[edit] Hi
Hi Thomas, I'm starting to tire somewhat of the malarkey and am looking for other outlets for my knowledge ;). Good to see you're a devoted Goon fan. Did you notice the deletion of the Make Socialism History article a few weeks back? --Harlsbottom 13:42, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah. I saw the deletion (as well as the process of deletion). I felt that we probably couldn't stop it getting deleted as the Blog doesn't have a big enough profile. I've sort of got used to Admins on Wikipedia deleting stuff and you having nothing whatsoever you can do about it. Oh well. --AlbertW 15:20, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
