Art Kane

Art Kane (born Arthur Kanofsky on April 9, 1925 in New York City) was a renowned fashion and music photographer active from the 1950s through early 1990s. He created many famous portraits of musicians, including Bob Dylan, The Who and the Rolling Stones
One of his most famous works was of 57 jazz musicians for Esquire magazine in 1958 in Harlem, which became the basis for a documentary, A Great Day in Harlem.
Kane died on February 3, 1995, aged 79.
He is survived by at least one known son, Nicholas Kane.
