Buchanan's Birthplace State Park

Buchanan's Birthplace State Park is a state park near Cove Gap, Pennsylvania, along Pennsylvania Route 16, in Franklin County, Pennsylvania. The park was created from donated land donated by Harriet Lane in honor of her beloved uncle, the 15th President of the United States, James Buchanan.
It covers 18.5 acres along a gap of the Tuscarora Mountain. The park offers swimming, boating, fishing, picnicking, hiking, hunting, family camping, family cabins, organized group camping, visitor center and an environmental education program. Buck Run flows through the park and provides a population of native trout for fishing enthusiasts.
