[edit] Cinnaburst Chewing Gum
Cinnaburst is a popular gum flavor created in 1992 along with its affiliated gum "Mintaburst" and "Fruitaburst". This gum boasted Flavor Crystals, small pockets of cinnamon satisfaction, to its potential customers.
Despite creative and memorable advertising, including the "Burst Shark" that was frequently aired to the teenage target audience on Channel One News, as well as the underground fact that the paper wrapper could be eaten right along with the gum, the Cinnaburst company encountered trouble in 2002. Beginning in the Flavor Crystal warehouse, a fire quickly spread throughout the factory in October 2002, and irrecoverable damages forced the company to file for Chapter 10 bankruptcy. Cinnaburst can still be purchased by loyal fans through several candy websites, and the "Burst Shark" lives on in internet lore.
