Colette Nelson

Colette Nelson (born April 5, 1974) is an American professional female bodybuilder, dietitian and web designer.
Colette was born in Southfield, Michigan and raised in Royal Oak, Michigan. She studied Dietetics at Michigan State University. She began training with weights at MSU while she was teaching aerobics. After her graduation she moved to New York to further study clinical nutrition at New York University. Colette currently lives in Seaford, New York and is engaged to bodybuilder Dave Palumbo.
Colette entered her first bodybuilding contest at age 24, first competing at small local contests where she had several first place finishes. After having gained enough confidence she moved on to her first NPC Nationals bodybuilding contest in 2000, where she finished sixth in the middleweight category. She narrowly missed earning her pro card at the 2002 USA Championship; she won the heavyweight class, but lost the overall title to Rosemary Jennings. She finally earned her pro card in 2004 by winning the IFBB North American.
