Darryl Stephens

Darryl Stephens (born March 7, 1977, Pasadena, California, USA) is an American actor.
He is best known for playing Noah Nicholson on the popular television dramedy, Noah's Arc.

[edit] Early life
Stephens grew up in and around Los Angeles, California (Altadena/Pasadena areas). He attended the University of California, Berkeley where he studied Sociology and Ethnic Studies along with drama and dance before earning a Bachelor's Degree in American Culture Studies. He performed for four years in San Francisco with the cult theater troupe, Sassymouth, before returning to Los Angeles to pursue a film and television career. He also worked with the Berkeley Black Theater Workshop.

After returning to L.A., Stephens appeared on the sexy, late-night serial, MTV's Undressed and the short-lived series, That's Life (2000 TV series). He also appeared in VH-1's Red Eye, all the while appearing in various commercials and performing in small theater venues and scene study classes. He also played a "future funked" Greta in a staged version & revival of the well known play "Bent", in Hollywood.
Stephens has played a few supporting roles in the films, Seamless with Shannon Elizabeth, Not Quite Right and Circuit. However, his biggest claim to fame came when independent filmmaker Patrik-Ian Polk cast him to play the lead character for a new series entitled, Noah's Arc in 2004. Originally, the series was expected to be released direct-to-DVD after receiving rave reviews at various film festivals. In the fall of 2005, Noah's Arc was picked up by the LOGO Television network, and debuted on October 19, 2005.
In 2006 Stephens has already completed several upcoming roles, including the comedy Another Gay Movie. Later this year he will appear in Boy Culture alongside newcomer Derek Magyar.
