Evil River is an announced posthumous publication of writings by Beat Generation author William S. Burroughs, who died in 1997. Previously announced for publication on several occasions up to 2005, the work was announced for publication by Viking Press on October 30, 2006 (ISBN 0670813516). See Amazon listing, however this did not occur. A second Amazon listing for the book, however, gives a release date of Nov. 30, 2006.
Reportedly Evil River is an autobiographical work, edited by Burroughs' longtime assistant, James Grauerholz, which was referenced in the posthumous compilation of Burroughs' works entitled Word Virus.
