Fageol
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Fageol was founded in 1922 and was the first company to build a bus from the ground up. The company was sold by the Fageol brothers in 1927.
Their goal was to build a safe bus that wasn't prone to toppling over due to top-heaviness when turning fast corners. Therefore, they built a bus that had a wide wheelbase, and was shorter to the ground, to ensure the passengers' safety. Hence, their buses were called the "Safety Coach".
