Talk:Farscape terminology
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Nano moment: Does this really deserve the term "FarScape terminology"? It's basically a concocted phrase from known terms. It can hardly be taken to represent a serious unit of temporal measurement.
Motra: I see this defined as 1/1200 of a metra everywhere, but my recollection from the episode itself was Crichton asking Sikozu (or it might've been Jool -- it's been a while) "600 motras -- that's just over half a metra, right?" which suggests that a motra:metra ratio is much more akin to its Earth-metric equivalent.
Anyone have any strong feelings about either of these two points? --McC 15:29, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
Agree that Nano moment should be ditched. No feelings pos or neg about the second. -- Angelstorm 22 Apr 2006
Just added an article, but before I blat through and add a whole heap more, is this page meant as a translation guide, a glossary or a quick reference to items/words in FS that have no direct comparison in everyday life ?? Eg, Pulse Pistol is irrelevant if this is a translation guide. It is relevant if this is a glossary/reference -- Angelstorm 22 Apr 2006
