Fylde peninsula

Fylde is a peninsula in western Lancashire, England. It is bound by the River Wyre to the north, the River Ribble to the south, and the Irish Sea to the west.
Towns on the peninsula include Blackpool, Fleetwood, Thornton-Cleveleys, Poulton-le-Fylde and Lytham St Annes. The Fylde Coast, consisting of the entire peninsula is a local justice area.
The borough of Fylde is a local government area covering part of the peninsula. The rest is covered by the boroughs of Wyre and Blackpool.
