Guarani de Goiás

Guarani de Goiás is a small town and municipality in eastern Goiás state, Brazil. The population was 4,093 (2005 projection) in a total area of 1,229.1 km² (10/10/2002). Guarani is a very poor municipality in the northeast of the state.

Guarani is 550 km. from Goiânia. Highway connections with the capital are made by BR-153 / Anápolis / GO-060 / Alexânia / Planaltina / Formosa / GO-020 / BR-030 / Vila Boa / Alvorada do Norte/ GO-108 / Posse, Goiás|Posse. [1]
Guarani is located south of the Terra Ronca state park [2] and 28 kilometers north of Posse. It is 35 kilometers to the important BR-020 highway, which links Brasília to Salvador.
