Harold Smith (Twin Peaks)

Harold Smith is a fictional character in the television series Twin Peaks. He is portrayed by Lenny Von Dohlen.
Harold has agoraphobia and thus does not leave his home. Laura Palmer delivered him his meals and that is how they met. Laura gave Harold her secret diary for safe-keeping, because BOB can't see him.
Harold grows and develops new orchid species in his home.
Harold was found dead, the cause of death being ruled as suicide. However, some fans have theorized that when Harold left his apartment in pursuit of Laura's diary - in the hands of Donna Hayward - during one episode, BOB found him and that resulted in Harold's death.
