Jeff Richards (comedian)

Jeff Richards (born October 21, 1974) is an American comedian. He is the first comedian to be cast on both Saturday Night Live (SNL) and its rival show on FOX, MADtv.

Richards was born in Walnut Creek, California. He graduated from high school there in 1993. He then went on to host a morning radio show and created a public access television sketch comedy show in the Bay Area. He then moved on to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he began stand-up comedy during a study abroad in Italy. After graduation he hit the road on motorcycle with his backpack performing across the United States. In 1997 he settled in Los Angeles and was a hit on the competitive Hollywood comedy scene.
