Joe W. Davis (politician)

Joe W. Davis (22 October 1918 - 14 November 1992) was a prolific mayor of Huntsville, Alabama who served as mayor from 1968 to 1988, trying unsuccessfully for a sixth consecutive term. He is the second-longest serving mayor of Huntsville, behind only Alex W. McAllister. He was a Freemason and member of Helion Lodge #1 in Huntsville, Alabama.
The local baseball stadium, home of the Huntsville Stars, is named after Davis.
