Kicking a Dead Pig is a remix album from Scottish band Mogwai, comprised of remixes of previously released tracks (primarily from Mogwai Young Team (1997) by various artists, including Alec Empire, My Bloody Valentine, and Max Tundra.
The album was originally released in 1998 on the label Eye-Q, who shortly became bust. The album then became relatively hard to find, until "the master tapes mysteriously appeared on Chemikal Underground's doorstep" [1]. The album was then re-released on the Chemikal Underground label in 2001, with an added two tracks on a second CD, the My Bloody Valentine, and μ-Ziq remixes.
