[edit] main Wikipedia interests
- Where beneficial, in articles on Buddhism, attempt to clarify various streams of thought, such as between the Theravada and the Mahayana traditions.
- Where beneficial, in articles on Buddhism, introduce traditional material to counterbalance an article's often unidentified dependence on contemporary English-language interpretations which might include non-Buddhist elements from Western psychotherapy and Western philosophy.[1] While I can greatly appreciate sincere practitioners' desire to foster the adoption of Buddhism in English-language societies by integrating it with current popular paradigms, I think it is beneficial to at least be clear about what is traditional Buddhism and what is the result of ones integrative efforts.
