The Partido de Lincoln is a partido of the Buenos Aires Province is located in the north-east of the province in central Argentina.
The provincial subdivision has a population of about 41,000 inhabitans in an area of 2,253 km², and its head city is Lincoln which is located 320km from Buenos Aires.

[edit] Name
When the partido was founded in 1865, the name Lincoln was chosen as a tribute to the recently assassinated Abraham Lincoln, 16th President of the United States (1861 to 1865), and enactor of the Emancipation Proclamation.

Lincoln's economy is dominated by agriculture. The main crops are; wheat, maize, soya and sunflowers. The district is home to around 500,000 cows and is responsible for 10% of Argentina's Honey production.
