Lotteries in New Zealand include quite a different range of lotto type games and products, all lottery type gaming is governed by the New Zealand Lotteries Commission (NZLC). Games that are produced by the NZLC include:

Lotto is the game that most New Zealanders play under the NZLC's wide range of lotto type games. This section refers to the weekly Saturday night draw. Lotto's catchphase is "How great would it feel," explaining what it would be like to win the top prize of a $1,000,000 dollars. Lotto's first draw was on the 1st August 1987 about 5 years after Australia's Tattslotto started. On a lotto ticket a player can choose what he wants to add to a ticket. A ticket will start off with 4 lines of 6 numbers, with the player either keeping the four lines or choosing to add on more, each line costs $0.60 cents (so a 4 line ticket will cost $2.40), this can be done by you or by computer. These are the possible divisions that can be won:
