Makoto Hyuga

Makoto Hyūga is a fictional character in the Anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion. Like several other characters in the series, he is named after a Imperial Japanese Navy ship; in his case, the Japanese battleship Hyūga. His role in the series is as a member of the operations staff at NERV, and he is frequently seen operating a MAGI console alongside Ibuki Maya and under the command of Katsuragi Misato, Fuyutsuki Kozo and Ikari Gendo. In virtually every episode, he is seen announcing the status of the latest Angel or Eva under attack. His admiration of Misato is hinted at throughout the series, as he is seen doing her laundry and later assisting her in gaining inside information about SEELE and Gendo's plans for the Evas in the director's cut of episode 24. His character was voiced by Hiro Yuki.
