Mark Grimes

Mark Grimes is a Toronto city councillor representing one of the two Etobicoke—Lakeshore wards. Born and raised in Etobicoke he worked several years as a trade on the Toronto Stock Exchange before starting his own transportation logistics company. He has long been involved in local hockey, and was a high school friend of Brendan Shanahan. When Irene Jones left to run provincially the municipal seat was left open and nine candidates challenged. While a relative unknown he was endorsed by Shanahan and the police union and won in a close race. While regarded as centre right he has mostly backed the policies of mayor David Miller.
