Monolith, a 4 piece Dirty Rock band hailing from Stourbridge, UK. Consisting of Steven Gough on vocals and rhythm guitar, Joel Wooldridge on lead guitar and backing vocals, Stuart Adams on Drums, and Daniel Evans on bass guitar.
Monolith, a belligerent group of hard headed dirty rockers. Poised to bring thier raw aggressive music which still retains the contrast to that of a reminiscent mountain-view, to the global music scene, starting with thier home town of Stourbridge, UK.
The past has seen different obsticles thrown in the path of the monster known as "Monolith" but, the band of outcasts have battled on regardless, kicking up a storm at every turn. Many times people have (wrongly) deliberated that the band is down and out. The truth of the matter is, the band is here, in your face and here to stay!
Since the lineup changes in the band of 2005/2006, Monolith have been striving to get THE material for the upcoming album "A Story Of Betrayal". From the second quarter of 2006, the band have the material needed to put said album together.
Monolith have been compared to many bands in the past, Metallica, Motorhead, Guns and Roses, Nickelback and many more, but the fact is, these are the bands creative influences and there was always going to be similarities. Taking these influences the band has come up with an original sound, which has been compared to the forgotten sounds of the 70's, and Monolith are hoping to bring it to the forefront of rock, with a vengeance!
The overall resounding feeling from the band is that the rock and roll lifestyle is out there, people are living it, so why the f*** cant they? And rightly so, someone has to be there, influencing the younger bands, and the aim of the band is shooting for the moon, In the end, they'll still be chilling with the stars!
A rocky past ensures this bands experience, and the scars are the proof. The road lays out infront of them, all they need to do, is walk the road, and they will get noticed, though, not without alot of hard work, and effort.
Monolith, a brutally beautiful combination of crushing guitar riffs, powerful drums, and the burning sound of the bottom end, topped off with the breaking, ripped up, Marlboro Red vocals.
Live, Breathe, Eat, Sleep, MONOLITH!
