[edit] Welcome
Hello, Nadirali, and welcome to Wikipedia! I am Deepu Joseph. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- If you need help, post a question at the Help Desk or ask me on my talk page.
- Sign your posts on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~).
- Provide an Edit summary
- Take a look at Consensus of standards. It is always wise to read the talk page of an existing article before making major changes on it. Even then, I typically ask if anyone minds that I make a change. Very often they do! ;-)
- Create a User page

[edit] Re:How do I post edited Articles.
I'm not exactly sure, but you have contributed to a few articles as seen here. Your edits are indeed being saved. I'm guessing that perhaps instead of clicking the "save page" button below, you might have clicked the "show preview" button? Is there any special article on which your edits were not saved? Did you check the article's history (by clicking the history button on top)? Perhaps someone must have reverted your edits. Please let me know. -- thunderboltza.k.a.Deepu Joseph |TALK
[edit] Your posting to the Village Pump (proposals) page
Hi Nadirali,
Thanks for your posting about Star Trek and Star Wars to the Village Pump (porposals) page. Unfortunately the page you posted to is not an appropriate place for discussing the content of these articles. Please bring up your concerns on the articles' talk pages (i.e. Talk:Star Wars and Talk:Star Trek) instead. Also, when you add a message to any talk page, please sign your comment by putting ~~~~ (that's four tilde characters) at the end; this automatically gets expanded to your signature and a timestamp. Thanks, Gwernol 15:58, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Star Wars articles
Please stop changing the category titles for the Star Wars films from "science fantasy" to "science fiction". Lucas has stated in many interviews that the films are not science fiction and this has been accepted in recent years by the general media. Sources for some of these can be found in the A New Hope article. Thank you. The Filmaker 18:02, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
- Please, the fact of Star Wars "science fantasy" category has been voted through on a number of FACs regarding the prequel trilogy. All prequel trilogy films are now featured articles, they are considered to be the best on Wikipedia. If you wish to dispute the category, do so in the talk page of one of the films instead of simply changing the article to your liking. On Wikipedia we work by consensus, and the majority of editors believe that Star Wars is "science fantasy". However, if you have suitable reasoning as to why it should be changed, please state it in the talk page and we may agree with you. Thank you. The Filmaker 15:48, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Removing content from talk pages
Removing content from talk pages, as you did to Talk:India Formation of India ..., is considered vandalism and can lead to be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Please be warned.
Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits are considered vandalism. If you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the work of others. Thank you. Fowler&fowler 01:40, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Cut-pasting content
You just pasted a lot of text taken from a geocities webpage (Pak history). Please don't do that again. Thanks. --Ragib 02:30, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] My last message
First, please sign your comments from now on, as customary. All you have to do is type ~~~~ and your signature will appear after you save the page. Second, you seem to be spend an awful amount of time on this subject for someone who does not care.
Please stop bringing up the prequels, and your point of view, and the fan's point of view, and stop the analogies using Superman Returns. This subject isn't relevant and pointless to discuss.
"As for Star Wars being "science fantasy",I have reason to belive that you simply made up the word, with the meaning pulled out of words from scientists, but twisted to suit your meaning for the made-up word."
I think you can stop with accusations about now, it's not particularly in good faith. I didn't create the science fantasy article, I didn't even edit the articles to feature that particular category in the films, I do however believe they are correct in most ways. We are using the film as a whole to classify the genre, not just the themes. The film includes elements of science fiction and at the same time, fantasy elements. That is the definition of science fantasy. The Battle of Troy is not fantasy because it is mythology itself. Whereas fantasy is often times based off of mythological elements.
"People dont really rely on wekipedia as they charge that articles are really written to suit the authors satisfaction and not written as matter-of-fact."
Again, you always claim to know what everyone is thinking. It is your own point of view. Yes, I'm sure that there is a group, even a large group of people, that share the same beliefs as you on Wikipedia and Star Wars. Why else would you have this point of view? However you blatantly claim to be a mind reader by beginning sentences with "People dont" as in claiming that the majority of people share your belief. This is not the case. And learn how to spell "Wikipedia". The Filmaker 23:03, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
