PAdict, the "Personal Assistant Dictionary", offers EDICT based lookup (or, Japanese lookup) for the Palm OS platform without requiring 3rd party libraries. Its current stable version is 0.9.0.
PAdict works on all versions since Palm OS 3.5, and take advantage of color Palms. It has multiple English dictionaries and a French dictionary available, along with the software to make your own. It has a meaning search, and can search by kana or kanji. A unique feature is its "kanjipad" interface, which also allow practice of kana and kanji form and stroke order.
