Tanis Half-Elven Stub
The article Tanis Half-Elven, which I have been doing much work on, has been greatly improved. Should I take the stub off? I'm not a very good judge of that sort of thing. DoomsDay349 23:40, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

Dragonlance pages
Do you have a list of dragonlance character pages that need work on? We could split up the work between me, you, doom, and maelwys. However, I don't have ready to access to dragonlance books (except for the doom brigade), because I get most of them from the library. ddcc 01:07, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

- Actually, I have draconian measures, not the doom brigade. Also, I've just noticed that I think the css style sheet notification error thing on your main page is wrong, as it shows the message in both firefox and ie. ddcc 04:07, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
Is there a way to watch all the Dragonlance pages, or do I have to go to each individual page and click watch. Just curious. Thanks.--Kranar drogin 01:59, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

Edits to Luigi
Hi again. Just wanted to solict your comments, if you've got the time, on the edits I've made to Luigi, since your edits always seem informed and judicious. I'd like to clean up the article to at least "good" status. Since that's what his brother's up to at the moment, it seems only fair. I'm going to try and find a source for the bit about Joust influencing Mario Bros, and and I'll also try to clean up the "powers" section soon, but I'm not sure about the general organization, and what to do with the "voice" section. I'd appreciate your thoughts.
Also, on an unrelated note: how crazy are the newest Wii rumors? :) I'm skeptical of course, but I must admit, it does make me want to keep my fingers crossed. Cheers, -- Lee Bailey(talk) 07:37, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

- Looking forward to your remarks, but do take your time. There's still plenty to do in the article, I'm just a little skittish because I'm making heavy changes without a getting a lot of input back on the article's talk page. I'm not looking for a full peer review necessarilly, just input to see if I'm on the right track with my edits, and any wisdom you may have on organizing this article into appropriate sections. I figured ask you because I've seen you making good edits all over Wikiproject: Nintendo articles. :) The PPU thing seems far fetched to me too, primarilly since we've already seen graphics and gameplay for the major launch titles; I could actually see Nintendo being coy enough to hold back a a major performance-related anouncement until after everyone's gone on record as saying that lack of power is the only thing wrong with the Wii, but it wouldn't be much of an announcenment if everyone's already seen the games in motion. I am expecting more secrets though, and I do love the idea of the simple dev tool for creating and sharing simple games -- now that is completely outside the box. -- Lee Bailey(talk) 12:53, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

- Thanks a bunch for looking this article over. Still a fair deal to be done -- I'm definately still looking to add references, especially for some of the statements that were in the article when I "found" it, in cases where they seem plausible. I'm trying to clean up the wording as much as possible, too. Still a lot to be done, but I feel more confident I'm on the right track now, so again, thanks! :) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Lee Bailey (talk • contribs) .

The image which you reverted back to is wrong, it's the old version which Sony showed off at E3 2005 and ECTS 2006. Hi Thanks for your suggestion. It was a sarcastic quip ("why use one word when four will do?") that related back to a similar phrase in the original article! Yeah, maybe it's inappropriate, so I've reversed it as you suggested. Tony 01:22, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
Goldmoon—well, I have to say that IMV there are too many FACs on fantasies/games. I've looked at the lead. "Became" --> "is" or "was"? "Goldmoon's". The list in the last sentence is clumsy. Use "Tracy and Laura Hickman, and Margaret ...."—do we need to describe her as "his wife"? She stands on her own, surely.

hello I have no problem with your statment that you don't want "fair use" images as decoration / icons. Please instead change the "silver trim" to a link; I think we all know what "silver" and "trim" is and a picture would be more useful. I don't do much wiki things and I didn't know how to get it to work. Thanks a lot.

Pokémon Gold and Silver
I did a quick search for "you" and "I" on that article and could not find a single instance where the formal tone was violated. Is there some other reason why you put {{inappropriate person}}, because I sure can't find it. I even looked in the talk page - no disccusiona about why the tag was put up. If it was just tone in general, {{inappropriate tone}} would have been more aptly suited. Hbdragon88 03:37, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

Dvd-stub
Hi Rey
Welcome to the world of stubs. I've moved your deletion request to the correct location (WP:SFD). You might find these links handy in the future: Stub templates are proposed on WP:WSS/P. Deletion or renaming of existing stub templates or categories takes place at WP:SFD. A stub template tagged for deletion is tagged with {{sfr-t|Dvd-stub}} Had it been a stub category, just replace the "-t" with "-c". Newly discussed stub templates are normally listed at WP:WSS/D first, but if it is a hopeless case, we go straight to WP:SFD. I hope you don't find this all to confusing. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Regards. Valentinian (talk) 19:59, 20 June 2006 (UTC)

Greetings. As you know I've been working on Golden Sun articles for a long while. If you know how the image licensing/copyright business works then I have something for you to investigate: I've had an image named Image:GSWeyard.jpg uploaded and in use on the Weyard page for a few days, and now I've uploaded the proper Image:GSWeyard2.jpg, and am letting the original be deleted. Chrono Trigger images
Why are these being deleted? There's a license on them. The artwork is by Akira Toriyama. What else cen be added to them to make sure they stay? The images are needed for the Chrono Trigger articles, and as you know, we want to get them up to snuff. Deleting the images will hinder us. If they are deleted, I will simply have to reupload them. - I'm not the original uploader. But my best bet is to try to contact the person who uploaded them. (He doesn't seem to be around anymore). Unfortunately, I don't have the instruction manual or anything related to it, and I suck at scanning. So these images will have to go for now, I guess (I believe highly in WP:POINT, and will not reupload them for a month after. It helps me in my argument against admins who take Jimbo's words out of context sometimes and use them to justify actions that are highly unpopular). I should try to convince the owner of that Bot that the images are needed for the Chrono Trigger featuring project.

English re:PS3 discussion
You really are a pain. Attempting to talk to you is mostly impossible. Your sentence construction and grammar are faultless - but your understanding of English is not. I would suggest that you should concentrate on editing a version of Wikipedia in your native tongue. Trying to discuss things with you is like arguing with a monkey. I am sure that you are not that stupid but believe me you do not actually speak English. I'm sorry to say this but this is the conclusion I have come to. I do not want to waste any more time talking to someone whose grasp of English is not good enough to understand what I am saying. Sorry.HappyVR 18:25, 2 July 2006 (UTC)

What is the point of putting nogallery on all of the Images with unknown copyright status articles? I like to review these galleries for images that appear likely to be PD-US, and I need to see the images. Was this discussed somewhere? TIA, -- Mwanner | Talk 23:20, 4 July 2006 (UTC)

- Thanks. Your third link includes the line "category for fair use exemptions, as pages required to operate the project", which seems to suggest that nogallery will not be applied to those pages, as exemptions under FUC #9? In any case, I have figured out a workaround for now, simply deleting nogallery (without saving) and using Show preview to see the thumbnails. So while I hope the consensus is to drop nogallery, I can live with it either way. Cheers! -- Mwanner | Talk 12:27, 5 July 2006 (UTC)

- Heh, no need to apologize! I think we make a good team. I actually enjoy the categorizing part, though I was curious sometimes how I could put hours into "K" on one day to clean it out, only to come back a few hours later and see there were 20 more articles waiting for me! Now that I understand more of the process though, it makes more sense. I have to admit, it also makes me smile whenever I see someone complaining that "No one is working on new articles anymore." They're not seeing the side of Wikipedia that you and I are seeing! Keep up the great work, Elonka 22:09, 23 July 2006 (UTC)

Infobox
Hey ReyBrujo, I brought up the topic of a DL infobox for organizations in DL on your tasklist page, but I wanted to ask you a few general questions first. First off, does it have to be proposed on the proposal page? Second, that page said you can't use the same color for infoboxes, which I don't understand as theres only like a hundred colors, so how could they not all be used already? I'm a little confused by their directions, so if you could give me a general guide on infoboxes it'd be really appreciated. DoomsDay349 02:25, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

- I was more than certain it was an oversight, as I scrolled up on the page and saw your signature. It looks better for you to add your signature, than me adding an unsigned tag to your edit :-) --Porqin 17:52, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
Adjudicate Gran Turismo intro, okay?
You added "shorten intro" to Gran Turismo (game). Someone shortened it, but didn't remove the tag, and so I shortened it again. Can you come back, and adjudicate what you started. Likely my super-shortening wasn't necessary, although I still feel there's a lot of non-summary in the previous shortening. I think my intro says all one (a disinterested observer) needs to know, and nothing more. Like the other person, I feel silly doing the shortening and removing the tag myself. Perhaps others will feel the intro should be deshortened a little.--SportWagon 21:51, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

Why the sudden interest in this image? Those images have been there for more than a year now, and nobody has said anything, not even members of the Anime and Manga project. The image is not too big, it is just right. As for your 250px comment, well, duh, of course the image isn't used full-size within the main article. 250px is pretty much standard for image thumbnail sizes, and if people want to see a bigger version they can click on it. They don't want to click on a thumbnail and see the same small image. That's just common sense right there. I went to a tremendous amount of trouble searching out just the right frames to represent the essence of each character, and the image needs to be at least big enough for the details to be legible.
Edit: Okay, I uploaded a version that is only 500 pixels wide. Is this sufficient? If so, I can go ahead and do it for all of the images. PiccoloNamek 03:24, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
So, is 800 pixels a number that you arbitrarily came up with? I noticed that you said you browse at 1024x786. If that is the case, the image may look rather large to you, but I browse at 1600x1200, and it looks small to me, even at full size. Further more, a single still frame, and not a particularly high quality one at that, out of tens of thousands of total frames, certainly does not inhibit CLAMP's/Madhouse's/Pioneer's(Geneon's, rather)/TokyoPop's/Whoever's ability to sell Chobits DVDs, manga, or merchendise. - Ok, if we make those changes, can we prevent the article from being deleted? I created it in the first place because it was at the top of the "Most Wanted" list, but since I have no knowledge of the subject, I just did a search and put in what I could along with references. I understand standards, and I understand the need for copyright protections. But automatically declaring that anything copied and not formatted properly is grounds for deletion and possible blocking of the user is really discouraging to people who just want to be involved. FLCL Improvement Drive
ReyBrujo, I noticed you recent edits to a FLCL page (you may have also made others). In that you purport and are a fan of manga and anime, I would request that you cast a vote on Wikipedia:Article Improvement Drive for FLCL and help bring this budding family of pages to featured-article status. FLCL is considered by many to be complete nonsense but other, more weathered anime veterans can recognize its deep symbolic values which only need a collaborated effort to be polished to a maximum shine. Chrono Cross
I just finished editing through use of a hard copy of the article, and tons of fat have been melted away to leave a crisp product. I'm making the rounds on a few editors' talk pages to invite them to give the article a glance. Once Chrono Trigger is locked in FA, Chrono Cross should be next. I've put some serious hours into it, so I think with a little more polish by fresh eyes, we'll be ready to unload. Long live the Chrono series. --Zeality 19:28, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning Article
In regards to your recent edits to the Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning article, the majority of the content of the article has been taken from http://www.war-rvr.net (as mentioned in my feeble attempts at a discussion page, thanks for the editing). - Thanks very much for your reply ReyBrujo, as a long time wikipedia VIEWER but not user it can be really daunting trying to get into this crazy editing thing, so thanks for being helpful and nice! I posted a list of links to our content in the discussion page for the article. I guess the most obvious thing that shows that its ours is that the content was first added to wikipedia all at once by someone who INCLUDED citation to our site, then the citation was removed by another user, because they thought that our site was trying to advertise :(. In the discussion I've posted each heading that is solely copywrited work, and the section that it was taken from. I would really value your assistance in removing it, as I've tried twice now and probably messed it up (it keeps being reverted back). -- Culain 23:43, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

Hey. I had a question about referencing, the way you do it, for example in Goldmoon, all those statements with a small number after them that go down to a box on the bottom that contain a reference, how do you do that? Advance Wars external links
In the interest of not revert warring, let us discuss here.
The merits for including each of the 5 sites on the AWDS page are as follows:
GameFAQs: It's GameFAQs. It will have guides, reviews, and a large if low-quality message board. Also, GameFAQs will have a section for pretty much every game ever, so it makes a good starting point for anyone looking for info on a game.
Advance Wars Net: As stated in the description, the first and largest AW fansite, speaks for itself.
Advance Wars by Web: This one I'm not so sure about, as it may break copyright law. Remove?
Advance Wars Revival: Not so sure about this one either, it seems rather small. It does have a lot of guides though.
Advance Wars Bunker: Was previously the largest AW fansite, isn't anymore. Is massively, massively larger than any of the other fansites on the list, barring Advance Wars Net. Also has lots of members who claim it's unfair to include AWN but not AWB.

- In which case, my (slightly biased) opinion would be the keeping of GameFAQs, AWN, and AWB, or GameFAQs and AWN. "Active" is a vague term at best, as it could mean number of members posting on the forums per day, total forums posts per day, how often the staff updates the site, number of pageviews, or some combination of them all. Membership size is probably a better measure there. --tjstrf 05:26, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

- Hmm... what we really need is to resolve the underlying problem. A few months ago, I had this discussion with another user, and we trimmed about 6 sites which had little or no membership, leaving approximately the list we have now, the only sites with any claim to notability whatsoever.
- I know that in certain manga and anime series articles, we have solved the problem of constant link or list bloating by adding an invisible note ("!" tagged text that shows up when editing only) saying that a list was considered complete and should not be added to. Perhaps that would work here as well? --tjstrf 05:48, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
- Replied on the user's talk page. [89] -- ReyBrujo 06:26, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
- It works better than you'd think, actually. Even fans will read, and will generally obey. We use them on the Bleach (manga) article, for instance. We have 2 there, one saying not to add extra people to the list of main characters, and another saying no fansites. (We decided to not allow any, due to copyright concerns.) We've only had to deal with people adding fansite links or extra "main characters" 2 or 3 times since, and we had previously bee reverted those sections multiple times per week. All you have to do is put it right at the end of the fan links, they will see it. It also gives you a justification for immediate removal, rather than having to explain the reasoning to every IP editor who won't read the talk page.
- So, how about we try the following for now: GameFAQs templated, AWB and AWN included, and a notice saying to not add any more. If that doesn't work, we can always try something else. --tjstrf 07:36, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
