Sahand University of Technology (دانشگاه صنعتي سهند) is a research institution and university of engineering and science in Iran (Persia), offering both undergraduate and postgraduate studies. Located in the Northwest of Iran, 20 km southwest of Tabriz, SUT provides a cultural and recreational environment suited to the work of a major research institution.
The school was first established in 1989. It is named after the nearby mountain of Sahand.
The university offers 11 bachelors degrees, 23 Masters degrees, and 5 Ph.D degrees in 7 Colleges.
