Scouting in Cornwall

Scouting in Cornwall is a part of the Scout Association in the United Kingdom, covering the County of Cornwall. It claims a membership of just under 5000. The current County Commissioner is Bob Ellis.
The county is divided into nine scout Districts:-
- Bodmin
- Bude/Launceston
- Falmouth
- Mid Cornwall
- Mount Edgcumbe
- Penwith & Isles of Scilly
- Stenek Ha'n Mor
- Truro
- West Caradon
The County Scout Training Centre, Activity Centre and Camp Site is at Nine Ashes, Pencarrow. The Mid Cornwall District has a Camp Site at Drummerts Lodge, Scredda, St Austell
The County raises money through the Trust for Scouting in Cornwall.
The 1st Newquay Scout Group has been continuously active in Newquay since 1911. It has a Beaver Scouts Colony, a Cub Scout Pack and a Scout Troop, and supports the Explorer Scout and Scout Network Units.
