Slopes

Slopes is a 2 player card game which uses an Uno deck. If you want to look up the other type of slopes see Slope.
The game was invented by Ben Diaczun while he was in the hospital with his wife with their beloved son Alexander.

Slopes is a 2 player card game. To play, you need an Uno Deck
[edit] Objective
Slope the numbers down toward yourself to win by ordering the numbers highest to lowest toward you with the lowest number directly in front of you. You must not have any duplicates.
[edit] Setup
Deal out 5 cards to both players. There should be 4 spots for card piles in a row from one player to the other. Draw two random cards for the two center piles. Use some random method to decide who goes first.

- Draw one card.
- Play cards.
[edit] Playing cards
- First you pick a pile you want to play a card on, if you can. If you cannot play a card you may pass. You may play any number of number cards on that pile as long as they are all legal. If you play the same number as the pile already holds you are entitled to play a special card of the same color played or a wild on top. Playing a special card freezes the pile which the special card is played on.
- When your turn is over, if all the piles are number cards, and they are numerically ordered lowest to highest toward either player (with no duplicates), the player who has the lower numbers towards him/her is declared the winner.

- Number cards - May be played on any number equal or one below or one above. If the card is the same color it may also be played on a number two below or two above (with the exception of the zero card). Any number card may be played on a special card of the same color or any wild.
- Zero card - May be played on a one or nine or any special card of it's color or any wild. One and nine may be played on it.
[edit] Special cards
Special cards may only be played immediatly after a duplicate number is played or on another special card (with the exception of the Take control card) . The special card must be the same color or black or the same type of special card as the card played on. Once played, three things occur: 1. The pile becomes frozen until your next turn and no one may play a card on that pile until your turn. 2. Whatever the special card does is applied. 3. Your turn immediatly ends.
- Swap card (Reverse direction card) - You may swap the pile you placed this card on with any other pile(even a frozen one). The pile with your placed card still on it is the pile frozen for you.
- Take control card (Skip turn card) - This card, at any time, may also be played on any card (even normal numbers) of the same color or a wild and even on a frozen pile. It simply freezes the pile for you.
- Draw two cards card - When played, you get to draw two cards immediatly.
- Wild Card - Nothing happens. Any card may be played on this card.
- Wild draw 4 card - Immediatly draw 4 cards. Any card may be played on this card.
