Sylvia Moy

Sylvia Moy is a former acclaimed Motown songwriter and record producer who is notable for being one of the few women in the Detroit-based music label to write and produce for Motown acts and was one of the few women in the music industry to do so. Among the hit singles she wrote while in Motown include "This Old Heart of Mine (Is Weak for You)" by The Isley Brothers, "Uptight (Everything's Alright)" and "My Cherie Amour" by Stevie Wonder and "Honey Chile" and "Love Bug Leave My Heart Alone" by Martha and the Vandellas among others. She was recently inducted to the Songwriter's Hall of Fame alongside fellow Motown songwriter and producer Henry Cosby.
