Symbology (Star Ocean)

Symbology is the English version name for Heraldry, a fictional type of magic in the PlayStation 2 game Star Ocean: Till the End of Time. It is the study and use of tattooed symbols on the body of the user. These symbols are used as magical amplifiers to cast spells. On the planet Elicoor, in the Kingdom of Aquaria, they refer it to as Runology.
In the in game encyclopedia it is mentioned that it used to be name heraldry.however,this was not the case in the japanese version,as it is still named as such.
