The Tal Gambit is a chess opening characterized by the moves (in algebraic notation) 1. e4 c5 2. f4 d5 3.exd5 Nf6!? Contemporary chess opening theory considers the Tal Gambit the best response to the McDonnell Attack against the Sicilian Defense.
