Team 60
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Team 60 is the aerobatic demonstration team of the Swedish Air Force and the official national aerobatic team of Sweden. The team was formed in 1975 as a team of 4 SAAB 105s for the 50th anniversary of the Swedish Air Force in 1976. The team currently flies six SK 60 (Swedish designation for the SAAB 105) based in Uppsala.
The team members are not professional display pilots but consist of senior flight instructors from the Swedish Airforce. Which is also why they use trainers instead of top line fighters like the JAS-39 Gripen.
