- NEW LINE IN TURKMENISTAN - 29 March 2006 - A new 540km line linking Kypchak and Dashoguz was completed recently in Turkmenistan at a cost of $US2 billion, including rolling stock and the provision of 17 bridges. It is planned to start building an extension beyond Dashoguz as far as Turkmenbashi in 2007, with an expected finishing date in 2010. [2]
