Ulrich de Maizière

Ulrich de Maizière (February 24, 1912 – August 26, 2006) was a German military person. He served as Inspector General of the Bundeswehr from 1966 to 1972. His brother Clement de Maizière, named after his father, was one of the leading members of the Christian Democratic Union of East Germany, while his son Thomas de Maizière currently serves as Chief of the Chancellor's Office and Federal Minister of Special Affairs in the cabinet of Angela Merkel.
