VADA (elm hybrid)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The elm cultivar VADA™ Warnoux is a Dutch development derived from the crossing of the hybrid Plantyn with another selfed (self-pollinated) specimen of Plantyn. Originally identified as clone No. 762, it was selected and assessed by the French Institut Nationale pour la Recherche Agronomique (INRA), who patented it as VADA™ in 2006. Possessed of the same vigour and disease-resistance as LUTECE™, VADA is a more fastigiate tree primarily intended for street planting. The tree is marketed exclusively by Pepinieres Lemonnier [1], Forges, France.
