[edit] Former participants

  • User:Evan Robidoux - I have decided to quit this project and join the Wikiproject Computer and Video Games instead. The project has a very small scope and I am getting confused with what's going on with all of the articles. Also, I have very little activity here. I may rejoin in the future though. Sorry. :(
  • User:HK51 - I never really contributed much anyway apart from expading the Orsinium article a few months back. I might still add a few more bits of info in here and there though. Might rejoin in the future, ye never know.

[edit] Tasks

Result: Merging most; see AfD and talk page.

    • 1.1. Merging the articles on all creatures.
  • 2. Make a decision about the primary TES template. Main proposals are: including most articles and linking only to categories. Please see the talk page and help with suggestions.
  • 3. Create a complete list of articles related to The Elder Scrolls. This not essentially should be a list by itself, but it should link all relevant categories.

Subpage: Wikipedia:WikiProject The Elder Scrolls/List Result: All related articles will be put in TES category.

  • 4. Make a consensus about how TES-related articles should be categorized and what templates should they use.

Result: See below.

Discussions are held on the talk page.

[edit] Guidelines

Here are some guidelines for creating and editing TES-related articles. They were formed by the discussion, and can be discussed further. It's recommended to follow them in order to create a more consistent articles structure, but not essential.

[edit] Categories

It's recommended to tag all TES-related articles in the following way:

  • [[Category:The Elder Scrolls]] is applied to every article, so all of them can be easily accessed.
  • Each article has one specific sub-category, with certain exceptions of subjects actually falling into more.
  • Sub-sub-categories, like Great_Houses_of_Vvardenfell (now deleted) should be avoided if they are obvious. Categories like Category:Regions of Vvardenfell are still needed, though, as it isn't obvious where these subregions are.

[edit] Notability

All games in series are notable, but it might be hard to decide whether some aspect of TES Universe or a mod deserves a separate article. Therefore, the following is recommended:

  • All games are notable.
  • All major organizations are notable.
  • Most subjects, including items and creatures, only need a section in corresponding article, unless the section gets oversized.
  • Other subjects only need a page if there's enough information about it for a complete article, not just a stub.

Mods may be notable if:

  • The mod has been published standalone or as the main feature on a printed CD/DVD (including magazine disks).
  • The mod is a total conversion, accepted by reviewers as having good quality.
  • The mod is very famous among players, like GIANTS.

[edit] Merge candidates

These articles might require merging:

Gaiden Shinji
Ghostfence
Daggerfall, High Rock
Velothi Mountains

Please discuss them and suggest actions on the talk page. Keep in mind that the first criterion is potential possibility for the subject article to ever become more than a stub without becoming a speculation.

[edit] Templates

Templates Template:ElderScrolls, Template:Elder Scrolls series and Template:TES-series might be merged into one or two (discuss on talk page).
