William Tatham

William M. Tatham is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing General Partner of XJ Partners, Inc. Prior to establishing XJ Partners in 2001, Tatham was the Founder, Chairman and CEO of Janna Systems, which he started in his basement in 1990 and sold 10 years later to Siebel Systems for $1.76 billion. Janna was the world leader in enterprise Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software for financial services. Customers included the who’s who of Wall Street. Following the transaction Tatham became Vice President and General Manager of Siebel Systems' Institutional Finance Unit, a position he held until June 2001.

Tatham is a member of the Board of Elizabeth Arden and is Executive Chairman of the Board of Bycast Inc., a global leader in Enterprise and Regional Digital Image Storage. Tatham was also a former member of the Board of Triple G Systems Group, the leading independent vendor of healthcare laboratory information systems. Triple G was sold to its largest competitor, GE Medical Systems for $83.7 million.

William Tatham is an active supporter of the University of Waterloo including: guest speaker at seminars in AHS, Math & Engineering, Entrepreneurial and is the Vice-Chair, Toronto, of the Information & Communications Technology (ICT) team for the “Building a Talent Trust” fundraising campaign. Tatham is a member of the Advisory Board of the Waterloo Institute for Health Informatics Research. Tatham has been awarded the Faculty of Engineering Alumni Achievement Medals for Professional Achievement. The University of Waterloo’s William M. Tatham Centre for Co-operative Education & Career Services is named in recognition of his support.

Tatham was awarded the Ernst & Young 2001 Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Software and Information Systems, and received a special citation for Outstanding Business Strategy. He is a graduate from the University of Waterloo, with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Systems Design Engineering with an option in Management Science.

William Tatham is the nephew of Charlie Tatham.
