WTLX

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

WTLX (100.5 MHz FM) is a radio station licensed to Columbus, Wisconsin and serving the Madison, Wisconsin market. The station is owned by Good Karma Broadcasting, LLC, and runs a sports talk format as "Madison's Fox Sports Radio 100.5." Although WTLX does rely on Fox Sports Radio for some of its programming, its weekday schedule places an emphasis on local- and Wisconsin-produced programming, including the Bob and Brian show (which originates from WHQG in Milwaukee) and two shows that originate from WTLX's Milwaukee sister station, WAUK--"The D-List with Drew Olsen and "The World's Greatest Sports Talk Show with Steve 'The Homer' True."

WTLX also features local high school sports play-by-play along with, beginning in the 2006-2007 season, Marquette Golden Eagles college basketball (on which Steve True handles play-by-play duties). The station previously carried (between 2004 and 2006) play-by-play coverage of the Northwoods League's Madison Mallards.

WTLX plans to increase its emphasis on local sports in 2007, in response to plans by Clear Channel-owned WXXM to become Madison's Fox Sports Radio affiliate.
