Yuxie (ユクシー Yukushī?) is one of the 493 fictional species of Pokémon creatures from the multi-billion-dollar[1] Pokémon media franchise – a collection of video games, anime, manga, books, trading cards and other media, created by Satoshi Tajiri. Yuxie is a legendary Pokémon that premiers in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. The purpose of Yuxie in the games, anime and manga, as with all other Pokémon, is to battle both wild Pokémon, untamed creatures encountered while the player passes through various environments, and tamed Pokémon owned by Pokémon trainers.[2]
Yuxie's name ユクシー (Yukushī), probably comes from がくしき (gakúshiki), which means "knowledge". The last part of its name, xie, comes from Pixie.

[edit] Appearance
Yuxie has a small blue body about the size of Mew. It has a yellow and round head with a jewel encrested in its forehead, and in its Sugimori art it appears to be sleeping, or closing its eyes in deep thought. However, it puts more detail in sleeping because it can learn yawn, a sleep-inducing move. It should be marked that its head resembles a human brain, being this the Knowledge Pokémon. Like Emurit and Agnome, its partners in the legendary trio, it has two tails with jewels encrested on them, and its only major difference from them is its head and its face.
Yuxie is reffered to as the "god of knowledge". It's said that the wisdom to enrich the lives of humans was born through the birth of Yuxie. It's also said that Yuxie has the power to erase anyone's memories if a person lies eyes on it.[3]
[edit] In the video games
Yuxie is one of the legendary Pokemon in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. It is part of a psychic trio along with Emurit and Agnome. All three of them are captured by Team Galaxy, and have to be freed by the protagonist. They will try to stop Dialga or Palkia from overwhelming Shin'ou later in the game. Because of its human-like appearance, it is perhaps related to Jirachi. It also resembles Shedinja.
After defeating Dialga or Palkia, it flees to Wisdom Lake, where it can be captured. It is at level 50, like Emurit and Agnome.
Among the three, Yuxie has the highest Defense and Special Defense.
