Raimondi, Marcantonio 1480 - 1534. Galatea, after the fresco by Raphael, Rome, Villa Farnesina, circa 1515. Engraving 40.2 x 28.6 cm (image); 40.2 x 28.7 cm (sheet) inches. Losses at base. “C’est une des plus belles et des plus rares de son oeuvre. Sa tablette, sans les chiffres, est à la droite d’en bas.” See purchase details under inv. no. 7.033. This is NOT the copy by Marco Dente da Ravenna (1493-1527), the pupil of Raimondi.
