Article 2

1. The Emblem of the Greek Republic consists of an escutcheon Azure, which forms an apex in the middle of its bottom side, it bears a cross Argent in the middle and is fully surrounded by two laurel branches cyclically, which intersect under the apex of its bottom side.

2. The length of the vertical sides of the escutcheon is greater than the length of its horizontal sides by ⅛ of it.
