Summary

Artist
Title
English: The Confirmation of the Rule (detail)
Date ~1485
Medium fresco
English: Sassetti Chapel, Santa Trinita
Florence
Notes
English: Portrayed (ltr): Antonio di Puccio Pucci, Lorenzo de' Medici and Francesco Sassetti with his youngest son. The child in this picture occupies a position of status unlikely to be afforded to Sassetti's youngest son. It is more probable that the child is Giulio de' Medici, heir of Lorenzo's deceased brother, Giuliano. Three other children in the fresco are the sons of Lorenzo.
