[edit] Hunter College/station photos
There are some photos of the subway station on the Hunter College website, can one of these be added? I'm relatively new to Wikipedia so I don't know how to get around the copyright issues. Wl219 18:35, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
- Generally, we try to avoid using copyrighted images, especially for something like a subway station, where a Wikipedian can relatively easily take some pictures of his/her own and upload, thus avoiding the copyright issue altogether. --Larry V (talk | contribs) 18:56, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Unsourced bus connections
A recent editor added these connections, which I have removed:
The MTA website does not show these routes as connections from the 6 train at 68th Street. Although it is true that these buses have stops at Hunter College, they are not logical transfers. The M98, for instance, heads straight down Lexington Avenue, terminating at 33rd Street. Since the 6 train does that too, no sensible person would leave the subway to transfer to an M98 bus. All of the others have the same problem — they are not sensible transfers, which is why the MTA website does not list them. Marc Shepherd 12:39, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
- Nevertheless, the transfers are there, for whatever reason someone might want to take them. I think using WP to dictate what is sensible and what's not is a slippery slope. What if someone going on the uptown 6 needs to double back to a street in between subway stops? The reason I put those connections there is to provide complete information, not just what you think would be the most "popular" transfer. Wl219 17:08, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
