[edit] Welcome!
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Newcomers help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}}
on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
I noticed you are known only as an IP address; that means you are not signed up. To sign up, you only need to click Create account and choose a username and password. You don't need to provide any personal information. If you sign up, you'll have a username that others can use to recognize you and leave you messages on the wiki. You'll be able to sign your name just by typing four tildes (~~~~) when you leave someone else a message. Plus, you (and others) will easily be able to see a list of all your contributions to Wikipedia.
If you have any questions, see the help pages, ask at the Village pump, or feel free to ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!
Also, I noticed your edits to the Adi Da article. Wikipedia's foundational policy on neutral point of view says articles are to "(represent) fairly and without bias all significant views that have been published by a reliable source". The Today Show material fulfills these criteria. Deleting that material is therefore a violation of WP policy. Also, please be aware of Wikipedia's policy on reverting, cf. WP:3RR. Regarding Watts, his only known comment was a solicited blurb on a book cover; this is cited along with such other quotes at the Wikiquote page.

- Striking my erroneous comment above; Watts also wrote the forward to The Knee of Listening[1]. However, there has been some debate in the past over the appropriateness of putting quotes in the main article when they are more appropriate at Wikiquote. Please see Talk:Adi Da. Also, it's helpful to editors if you leave and edit summary, per WP:ES. Again, welcome to WP! cheers, Jim Butler(talk) 01:45, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Test
Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and it has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you may want to do. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. -Will Beback 05:25, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an anonymous user, identified by the user's numerical IP address. Some IP addresses change periodically, and may be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users. Registering also hides your IP address.
