Associazione Sportiva Andria BAT is an Italian football club, based in Andria, Apulia. The club was founded in 1971 as A.S. Fidelis Andria (Associazione Sportiva Fidelis Andria) and refounded in 2005. Andria BAT currently plays in Serie C2/C. In its denomination of Fidelis Andria, the team played for years between Serie B and Serie C1; notably, its last Serie B experience was in 1999. The team's colors are blue and white.
BAT stands for Barletta-Andria-Trani, as in the province of Barletta-Andria-Trani. It is likely that teams from Barletta and Trani, both with several experiences in Serie B and C too, would merge with Andria BAT in order to make a unique team representing a whole regional territory [citation needed], like U.C. AlbinoLeffe in Italy and, as a probably more fitting example, FC Midtjylland in Denmark.
