AFL Teamcoach is a popular Australian rules football-themed collectible card game. More than 2.2 million people play it in all states and territories except NSW. The series started since 2001, and is now up to the 2006 series

There are seven game variations

The main focus, players choose their best twenty two, but they must own the cards, which are needed to win prizes, first to third place winners win an exclusive Blue star set, fourth to eighth Win a framed set of card of the player's club

This old format was used in 2001-2002. You could win a Blueset If you got the best player in each position. This was scrapped after the 2002 season

[edit] Rock, Paper, Scissors
A mini game which requried 6 pre2006 cards (3 cards x 2) with a strength of one card and a weakness of another, and it worked like normal Paper Scissors Rock. Could be played for fun or Keeps

Wildcards first appeared in 2004
There are 16 Star Wildcards and 16 B&F Wildcards, Star Wildcards can turn anyone team card into a gold while a B&F card does the same except it's for a Silver

Never released as it was too complicated. This teamcoach had certin limits, like the use of cards for different rounds, Doubles in this game were actally very useful as the more you had of one player, the more rounds you can use that player. They came in 6 variations, making a total of 600 cards.
Some of the tests have found the markets.

The face of 2001 was Wayne Carey
2001 was the only year where some cards had to be got by packs, such as the Ingerson Siliver and Phil Matera Gold, Found in the Starter packs.

Subway Restaurants released a promotional Subway Wildcard Series in early 2005, releasing one star from each club.
Their television advertising campaign was a rather forgettable one for Nick Riewoldt. He and a kid trading their Teamcoach cards. This was after Nick controverisially broke his arm in Round 1 of 2005 against the Brisbane Lions.
