Ahmed Plummer

Ahmed Kamil Plummer (born March 26, 1976 in Wyoming, Ohio) is an American former National Football League player who is currently in the retirement process after being waived by the San Francisco 49ers after only playing in 9 of the last 32 games due to injuries. He played the cornerback position. He attended Ohio State University. He was drafted by the 49ers in the 1st round (24th overall) in the 2000 NFL Draft. Plummer missed significant parts of both 2004 and 2005 seasons due to injuries. On June 17, 2006, Plummer announced his retirement from the NFL, after a six-year career.
Plummer is the cousin of National Basketball Association player, Brian Grant.
