Al Jazeera Children's Channel
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Al Jazeera Children's Channel (JCC) is the first all-Arabic language television channel marketed at children.
Launched on September 9, 2005 by the international television network Al Jazeera, the channel is targeted to children between the ages of three and fifteen. It is available in much of the Middle East and parts of Europe. It broadcasts 18.5 hours a day on weekdays and 19 hours on weekends, and advertises that it produces about 40% of its own programs, the highest proportion of any children's channel. JCC plans to create an interactive website for children as well.
